About the Project

FEBRUARY 2011 HOME DEPOT KITCHEN OF THE MONTH RUNNER UP

When contemplating her kitchen remodel, more space and efficient traffic flow were at the top of this customer’s list. Would Home Depot kitchen designer Jake Del Castillo of Santa Maria, California, Store # 6638 be able to create the openness she craved?  First, a walk-in pantry was removed to create better flow, but plenty of storage options were incorporated into the design. Extra-wide walkways make the room spacious and comfortable, while accommodating her open dishwasher (finally!) and pull-out trash cabinet. An impressive island and Savannah cabinetry with a rich, crisp Maple Mocha glaze take center of attention in a kitchen that needs no room for improvement.
