About the Project
THE GORMLEY KITCHEN
It’s a common complaint. The uber-dated, small kitchen is the most hated room in the house. After ten years in their home, the Gormleys decided it was time for the kitchen to go. Christine and Brian wanted more—room, counter space, storage and cabinets. Fortunately, the Gormleys didn't have to look far for inspiration. Christine's parents live next door in an identical home with a kitchen that gave them plenty of food for thought. After visiting their local Home Depot in Paramus, NJ, they were drawn to Alexandria's cathedral door style with a warm Maple Auburn glaze and added Suffolk knobs and pulls in Brushed Tin. The finishing touches? Stainless steel appliances, new granite countertops and a striking backsplash.
