Maple Almond and Painted Sage Kitchen

Today’s most compelling kitchens and living spaces aren’t built on a single finish—they’re layered. Tri‑tone design is one of the strongest trends in cabinetry because it adds depth, warmth, and personality without feeling busy or overwhelming. When done well, a tri‑tone space feels intentional, balanced, and timeless.

Our finish palette was developed with this exact approach in mind. Each finish is formulated to work beautifully with the others and organized into intuitive categories, making it easy to mix, match, and bring your space to life with confidence.

THE RULE OF THREE'S

A tri‑tone space uses three complementary finish families rather than relying on a single color or material. These tones work together to create contrast and visual interest while still feeling cohesive. The golden ratio of 60:30:10 is a great rule of thumb. This rule creates a space that's balanced with one finish grounding the space (60%), a second finish used as a primary finish to set the overall mood (30%), and an accent finish that creates a focal point or adds a pop to the space (10%).

This Remy kitchen is the perfect example of how three finishes can work together to create a cohesive, balanced space. Maple Cider grounds the overall space while Painted Sage sets the tone with it's bold pop, and Painted Linen creates a focal point of the range hood.

DEFINED ZONES

Create intentional zones by using different cabinet finishes to visually define how the space functions. One finish can be used for food storage, another to highlight the cooking zone, and a third showcases the prep and cleanup space.

A STANDOUT ISLAND

Create an island that takes centerstage in its own distinct finish, instantly establishing a clear focal point. It's the perfect place to introduce a contrasting finish that adds visual interest and depth to the space.

PERFECT COLOR POP

A bold pop can bring playful charm and instant personality to your space, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels uniquely yours. Let your style shine and have fun with it!

CREATING AN EFFORTLESSLY COORDINATED SPACE

You can see that depth and maximum visual impact are defining characteristics of a tri-tone kitchen. With enough color to let your family’s personality and style shine, these kitchens can be perfectly personalized to elevate your daily experience.
